About Drakeball
A free social casino, and a small team making browser games that ask for nothing except a few minutes of your attention.
Drakeball started with a complaint. Free casino-style games were everywhere, and nearly all of them behaved the same way: a generous opening handful of coins, a run of near-misses, and then a shop window. We wanted to know what one of these games felt like if you removed the shop entirely — if the coins genuinely could not be bought, and refills were handed out for free forever.
What survived that experiment is the catalogue you see here. The orb still clatters through the pegs, the reels still stop one at a time, and the wheel still slows down at exactly the wrong moment. The difference is that none of it is pointed at a checkout. There is nothing on this site to purchase, because we never built the ability to purchase anything.
A social casino, and only that
Drakeball is a social casino: every title is a social game. Coins are a scoring device, nothing more: they are created by your browser when a page loads, they disappear when you reload it, and they never correspond to money, credit, prizes or rewards of any kind. No round on this site is a wager, and no outcome pays anything you could take away with you. If you are looking for real-money gambling, Drakeball is not that, and we do not link to it.
That framing shapes design decisions well beyond the legal footer. Our games do not run daily streaks, do not send reminder notifications, and do not offer a “last chance” anything. A session that ends because you got bored is a session that worked as intended.
How we build
The site is deliberately plain underneath: hand-written HTML, one stylesheet, and a few small scripts. Games run on a canvas or ordinary page elements, with no third-party game engine sitting between you and the board. That keeps pages quick on a weak connection and makes the whole thing readable to anyone curious enough to open the source.
Multipliers and symbol weights are documented openly on each game page rather than hidden in a settings file. You can read what a dragon line pays before you spin, and the number you read is the number the game uses.
Who it is for
Drakeball is intended for adults aged 18 and over who enjoy the rhythm of a spin without wanting anything riding on it. We do not target our games at anyone under that age, and we ask parents and guardians to keep an eye on what younger household members play. Our responsible play guide covers how to set your own limits and when to step away.
Getting in touch
Questions, bug reports and the occasional argument about multiplier maths all reach the same small inbox. The support page lists what to send and roughly how long a reply takes. We read everything, even when the answer is that a bounce really was just bad luck.
Keep it light. Drakeball is built for short, cheerful sessions. If social gaming stops being fun, step away for a while — our guide explains how to set limits and take a break.
